Anna M. (DeSocio) Parente

Anna M. (DeSocio) Parente, 94, of Warwick, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, at Riverview Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Parente. They shared sixty-two devoted years of marriage before his passing in 2019 — a lifetime marked by love, faith, and unwavering commitment to family.

Born in North Bergen, New Jersey, Anna was a daughter of the late Victor J. and Virginia J. (Ficoturo) DeSocio. Raised in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and later made her home in the Natick section of Warwick for many years. She built a meaningful career at Kent Hospital, where she worked in the medical records department for twenty years, retiring as a respected supervisor. Her professionalism, dedication, and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike.

A woman of deep faith, Anna was a devoted communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was active with the Padre Pio organization. She was also a proud member of the East Natick Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. Above all, Anna cherished her family. She found joy in reading, baking for those she loved, crocheting thoughtful gifts, and gathering her family together for simple, meaningful moments.

She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Parente and his wife Lisa, John Parente, and Marianne Legault and her husband Richard; her sister, Mary V. Fortney; and her cherished grandchildren, Bryan Legault and his wife Paige, and Dr. Jaimie Legault (Nicholas Sammartino). She was the dear sister of the late Lucy DeSocio.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 9:00–10:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will be private.
