George M. D’Antico, 86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, February 12, 2026, at Kent Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Pasquale and Grace (Cinieri) D’Antico. George was a lifelong Rhode Islander and a longtime resident of Cranston, where he built a life rooted in hard work, independence, and quiet dedication.
George began his career with the State of Rhode Island, serving for many years in the Department of Environmental Management as a soil tester. Following his state service, he became a self-employed property owner, taking great pride in managing and maintaining his properties with care and responsibility. Known for his strong work ethic and self-reliance, George approached life with determination and practicality.
In his younger years, George enjoyed hunting and fishing, pursuits that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and simpler pleasures.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Gina G. Goncalo, several nieces, nephews and cherished relatives. He was predeceased by his sister, Diane Caton.
In accordance with George’s wishes, his funeral service and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
