Maria G. (Lima) Vieira

Maria G. (Lima) Vieira, 94, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Vieira, who passed away in 2013.

Born in Terceira, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Jose) Lima. Raised in Terceira, Maria carried with her the rich traditions, faith, and devotion to family that defined her early years before making West Warwick her home in 1976. With quiet strength and grace, she built a life centered on love, faith, and family.

Maria found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved most. Whether gathered around the table, celebrating milestones, or sharing simple everyday moments, she cherished being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her gentle presence, warm heart, and steady devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She was the loving mother of Gilberto L. Vieira and his wife, Liberta, of East Providence; cherished grandmother of Suzette Marques, Gabriel Vieira, Sandy Pereira, Matthew Vieira, and Gabriela Vieira; and proud great-grandmother of Victoria, Sophia, Allison, Amelia, McKenzie, Kylie, Ava, Katie and Walter. She was predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law, Manuel and Mildred Vieira.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 9:30–10:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will be private.
